AboutUs
Honesty Cookery School
Our courses take place in The Barn at North Sydmonton House. The barn was constructed in late 2013 using traditional methods and design. Its large green oak beams are an impressive sight and the stone floor, contemporary kitchen and interior design make it a great atmosphere for learning. The views across the Hampshire countryside are stunning, making The Barn the perfect place to immerse yourself in the world of food and wine.
Our tutors come from all walks of life, but all have one thing in common: they are passionate about food. We are passionate about encouraging people to try something new and enjoy the pleasures of home cooked food made from scratch. Almost without exception there will be no more than 8 people on a course and you will be hands on. Our courses are relaxed and friendly and make great gifts!
The school is owned by cookery writer Romilla Arber, who wanted to create a place that people could come into and widen their horizons and present opportunities around food and drink that some might not have explored before and to meet like minded people. The school can also be used for team building events and meetings. It is an inspirational space that works well for a relaxed get together be it with or without cooking!
